Saying Farewell to Frosh Season

As fall ends and winter begins, the JVC football team plays in their last few games against O’Dea and Eastside as the season comes to a bittersweet end.

Over the course of the past few months, Blanchet’s JVC team has given it their all on the field. The Braves experienced wins, loses and most importantly, lessons that will last a lifetime.

“My favorite memory was our game against Lake Washington” said tide end Tony Alan, “I couldn’t think of a better way to have started the season”.

The game against Lake Washington was a nail biter to say the least. Blanchet secured the victory 28-27, winning by only one point. With the match against Lake Washington being only the first game ever for JVC boys, it became highly anticipated that these young players have quite the future.

Although winning is certainly memorable, loses are what shape the team as well. While the frosh boys defeated Lake Washington, Kamiak and Seattle Prep. They lost to Archbishop Murphy, O’Dea and Eastside Catholic.

“I wouldn’t change a thing about this past season” said receiver Alex Good, “We have so much room for growth, and I can’t wait to see how far we go”.

The boys will continue to prepare for next season and look forward to applying the skills they’ve learned their frosh year on the JV and Varsity teams.
