As the new school year begins and brand new opportunities arise, students at Blanchet are finding ways to become involved with the school community.

Students in the drama department are currently preparing for the Fall Play auditions. Drama Director Taryn Darr announced last spring that the play would be Little Women. These auditions will take place on Tuesday, September 13th. Darr is extremely excited for this production as the talent at Blanchet is always astounding. As students prepare for auditions Senior Fin Pignataro states, “I’m super excited to be the social media manager in this thespian council! I’m also very excited to be in Little Women, as it has been one of my favorite stories since I was little.”

Students wanting to take part in Drama without stepping into the spotlight get involved through the behind the scenes. Students can take part in Stage Crew, Costume Crew, Hair and Makeup Crew, Marketing Crew, and Stage Management. Senior Sofia McGinnis says, “I’m very excited to be on Pub Crew this year.” Students interested in getting involved with the drama department should contact Drama Director, Taryn Darr, or Technical Director, Mr. Corey Eriksen.
