In mid-August, Mr. Rick O’Leary, math teacher, certified athletic trainer,  and athletic director, announced his retirement after 23 years of service to the school.

His replacement’s tenure is even more extensive.

Bishop Blanchet’s new Athletic Director is its old AD, Mr. George Monica.  Monica held the job of athletic director from 1987 to 2009. In his tenure, he oversaw what many considered to be the cleanest athletic program in the state.

Monica will also teach a section of US History.

John O’Leary, the current men’s cross country coach and distance coach for track, has accepted the position of PE teacher.
