Low numbers of wrestlers causing team to drop matches

The Braves wrestling team embark on an eventful journey as they start out their season.

With many new members joining the team, the Braves are growing strong with personal achievements and pushing for a whole team victory every chance they get.

This past weekend the Braves traveled to two tournaments, one group to Fife, and the other group to Snohomish. The Braves wrestled it out and had victorious wins individually and as a team, only bettering their skills as they continue.

“We have had great success in the matches we’ve wrestled” said junior Brian Welch, “so far and will continue to improve and hopefully grow in numbers as well.”

The Braves followed up with a loss to  Garfield, 42-36, then lost again to Eastside Catholic, 32-30.

Throughout the season, the Braves have to forfeit matches in some weight divisions.

“The season is going great,” said Jordan Saline, “other than the lack of  turnout, the wrestlers are all progressing.”
