Boycott Beyoncé?

“Okay ladies now let’s get in Formation!!”
Everyone knows of the fabulous Beyoncé Knowles, and many men and women around the world love her music.
As the Queen Bey took the stage for the halftime performance during the Super Bowl 50, many Beyoncé lovers were not happy with her performance.
Beyoncé performed her new song “Formation.” In it she states how she loves her family, loves her heritage, is confident in herself and is a black Bill Gates in the making.
Her video showcased New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and the trials and tribulations African Americans are going through.
As she took the stage during the Super Bowl 50, in all black, fans were not really supportive of her outfit decision. After her performance the fans went crazy over social media a stating that Beyoncé’s performance was a bash to the law enforcement because they mirrored the Black Panthers.
A hashtag started to circle the internet that said Boycott Beyoncé, they decide to congregate outside of the National Football Headquarters and hold a rally. They wanted to let the NFL know that they did not support racism and hate speeches. Many people believed that during Beyoncé’s show her song was not a good message being sent out.
Although some people on social media and fans were not to happy about the new song many others reacted positively to the song.
Throughout the lyrics of the song Beyoncé sends out powerful messages about loving where you come from, embracing who you are and that there is nothing wrong with being powerful.
