The Brave JV soccer team is halfway through their season, and what a ride it has been.

The boy’s roster consists of primarily fresh faces, a full freshman and sophomore team.

Although it has been difficult competing against other JV teams in Metro that consist of under and upper class men, the Braves play with passion and intensity in every practice and game that they participate in.

A handful of the players on the team work off season on the variety of Seattle club teams, while many other players only get their feet to the turf during the season.

Coach Luciano Busilacchi works on applying fundamentals and conditioning into every practice, while keeping it simple and tactical in every game.

With a recent win against Franklin High School, it is evident of the team’s drive and ambition, especially among freshman, Cesar Glick.

“This season is going pretty well, we’ve lost some and won some,” said Glick, “I’m looking forward to having many more years with this soccer program.”

Glick is a standout player on the JV team and has been playing soccer for the past 11 years.

“Soccer means the world to me,” said Glick, ” I have big hopes and dreams, and soccer is my passion and outlet.”

With this mindset coming for a crucial player on the team, there are high hopes and  aspirations for the rest of this season with the JV team.

Coach Busilacchi always reminds the group of boys about getting touches on the ball at practice, home or during games.

This fundamental skill has been helping the boys to hone in on their talent and contribution to the team.

The team works well with one another and continues to find joy and laughter during their time on and off the field despite hardships.
