Offensively, the team played aggressively and had many attempts at goal. Phil Ward and Scott Doquilo contributed goals for the braves.
Defensively, junior Jaybry Doyle-Huph had an outstanding performance and finished the night with multiple saves. He showed an impressive amount of agility and consistent effort in order to help his team stay strong on defense,
Senior defensive back Christian Peterson, who says this was definitely his favorite game to play in, checked multiple lakeside players, and had the game winning assist.
“Christian had a tight assist to help us win the game,” said junior Lucas Gordon. “He was looking at the whole field and saw Scott open on the wing on a fast break. It was definitely one of the coolest moments of the season.”
The team is heading into the second half of the season with a solid 5-4 record and a whole lot of positive team morale.
