Suiting Up for Homecoming

Amped up, the mighty Braves are ready to defeat our rivals, the blue and white Seattle Prep Panthers. Both currently holding a 1-2 district record, the Braves and Panthers need this win.

“We are focusing on our game this week,” says sophomore Tyler Hardie. “ We focus on the game ahead.”

The Braves watch film of their play in the game of the previous week. They  observe their strengths along with their flaws to improve and prepare for the upcoming game.

With a large number of key players not being able to hit the field, the Braves have been at loss. Many players have stepped up to fill in the positions and keep the offensive and defensive lines strong.

“They will be missed but their replacements are qualified,” says junior Jack Shanahan of his injured teammates.

By zoning in on their personal and team goals, they hope to get the outcome they worked so hard to achieve.

“I’ll run hard and block well.” says Jack Shanahan. “Our running game is what will help us beat Prep.”

The big Homecoming game is on Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m. at home under the Mickey Nash lights.
