Getting Tropical in The Quad

The Quad Dance was held Saturday September, 9th at Bishop Blanchet High School in, well you guessed it – The Quad!

A lot of students enjoyed the tropical themed dance, the music by DJ Rocka Romeo, and being able to see all their friends.

Vice Principal of Student Activities Chuck Bocian enjoyed DJ Rocka Romeo and appreciated that he followed all the guidelines that comes along with DJ-ing a catholic high school dance.

“He did what we expected,” said Bocian. “He didn’t rock the neighborhood out, and he met the standards of the school administration – we liked him.”

Senior Erin McDonagh didn’t like DJ Rocka Romeo as much as Mr. Bocian did.

“He could have been better, but I did like the lights.” said McDonagh.

Freshman Rolfe Zeisner really enjoyed the Quad Dance but didn’t quite understand why it was actually in the Quad.

“It was fun, I wasn’t expecting it to be outside though.” said Zeisner.

Senior Simon Serwold wasn’t as happy with the dance as he could have been.

“The freshman had more fun than the upperclassmen I think. Many seniors left as early as they could and kept asking if they could leave.” said Serwold.

Nonetheless, Senior Kiera Dempsey enjoyed the dance and loved being able to get tropical with her friends.

“It was fun, there was a lot of energy.” said Dempsey.

Overall, it was a great way to kickoff the school year and introduce the freshman to Blanchet dances.
