On Thursday September 21, girls varsity soccer had another strong win of 2-0 against Nathan Hale at Jane Addams Middle School.

With goals scored by Gigi Gaulladet and Ellie Schober, the team had a large win over Hale. As they settle into the season, they show us they can become one of the top teams in the 3A league.

“I think one of the hardest things for us is the refs,” said outside midfielder Makayla Weston. “They’re biased against us because we’re a good team,”.

As the team moves forward this season, they hope to get past their feelings towards the refs and just play the game they love.

“I think we have a really good chance at making it to state again,” said Weston, “Ashley Goodspeed is one of our best players, she played the entire game and stepped up to the ball,”

With high hopes for this season, the team looks forward to strengthening their bond on and off the field to be a team that every school looks up to.

The team plays again on Thursday, October 5 against West Seattle at West Seattle at 4:00 pm.
