Heartbreak on a Full Moon
January 3, 2018
Chris Brown’s latest album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon, was released on the morning of October 31, 2017. If you’re planning to listen to the full album, you better have two hours and 40 minutes to spare.
Brown’s new album contains 45 songs, including collaborations with Usher, R.Kelly, Gucci Mane, Kodak Black, Young Thug, Lil Yachty, Yo Gotti and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
Shortly after releasing the album, Brown went on social media and expressed how nervous he was, but he hoped his music will “inspire y’all while doing something I love.” Brown has not released an album since 2015, “Royalty”.
His nerves were put to ease when the next morning, Heartbreak on a Full Moon was the No. 1 album on iTunes.
The album also did well internationally, as it hit the Top 10 charts in the UK at #10, Australia at #5, and New Zealand at #3.
The Recording Industry Association of America has confirmed that Heartbreak on a Full Moon has officially gone gold, selling the equivalent of 500,000 units.
Not surprisingly, the album received mixed reviews. Some loved the diverse catalog of ballads and party anthems while others called his songs rude and “depict women as targets for either his sexual prowess or his righteous scorn—or, both at the same time”.
Heartbreak on a Full Moon can be purchased on Itunes for $15.99 as well as streamed on Spotify. Next time you are stuck in rush hour traffic, try listening to Brown’s new album.
