Opportunity Starts with Safe Water

Water.org is taking immense steps towards improving lives and supplying clean water to those who experience the global water crisis every day.
Changing the world, Water.org is a program that uses affordable loans to provide struggling families worldwide with taps, toilets, or accessible water in general. Through charity and other programs, Water.org has affected ten million lives throughout eleven different countries in terms of sanitation and health.
According to co-founder Matt Damon, a safe water supply also improves your financial state and quality of life.
“Access to safe water unlocks education, economic prosperity, and improves health” said Damon. “Water finance attributes to the cycle of poverty.”
Those who cannot afford resources to live a healthy life spend so much time trying to do what they can to survive, that their opportunities for education and experience are taken away. Water.org does more than supply water, but also changes lives.
The diverse and global program is not only a way of charity, but also provides WaterCredit. In countries like India, Peru, and Brazil, WaterCredit connects with microfinance partners and accommodates them with resources and assistance to begin an establishment of giving affordable loans to families who can’t afford resources. Water.org has many smart strategies to begin to put an end to the water crisis, and there’s a high demand for it.
Co-founder Gary White believes that these loans empower individuals and their families as well.
“There is both a need and demand for these loans, because when people have access to safe water, they get time back to go to school, earn an income and take care of their families” said White. “It changes their world.”
For over twenty five years, Gary White’s and Matt Damon’s effective innovation has affected eleven countries and millions of impoverished human beings. They also have created lasting change through awareness– and even a Super Bowl commercial.
Water.org contributes to the fight against the global water crisis and accepts donations on their website.
