Trendy American Cities

When it comes to cool, trendy cities, we already know that the major cities (NYC, LA, Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco) have it on lock down, but this year these three cities are rising in “trendy-ness”.

The first city is Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The historically small city is now filled with tourist exploring Falls Park Farmers Market or Sioux Empire Farmers Market. Live music is very abundant in the city. Sioux Falls JazzFest is one of its biggest tourist attractions. If one is in the mood to witness live art in the making, the city provides their Sidewalk Arts Festival every year. These are just a few of the many activities one can get up to in this lively city.

The next city is Cincinnati, Ohio. The third-largest city in Ohio has now embraced its groovy side. Massive street-painting parties, evening glow-art-decorating bashes and epic group bicycle rides are only some of the groovy activities the city gets up to. Cincinnati is a fun, family friendly place to spend a long weekend.

The last city is one which has a long history of being considered “not hip” and one of the least interesting cities in the Western world. In recent years this city has been named the nation’s richest (by U.S. News), economically strongest city (by Policom), and the best for young professionals, families, home renters, businesses and careers (by Forbes). In the city of Des Moines, Iowa there is no shortage of things to do. Tourist can rent paddle boards at Gray’s Lake, visit many spectacular museums or enjoy a musical at the Des Moines Civic Center. The city offers family-friendly fun at Adventureland Park and the Science Center of Iowa. It is a city that has endless free events and activities.

When planning the next family trip, girls vacation or couple get away, consider exploring one of these vibrant cities.
