Lila Okell is a first year staff writer for the Miter. As a senior, she is excited to get more involved in her school community through journalism. Lila frequently reads the New Yorker and New York Times, while also enjoying local and global news on KIRO7 and CBS. 

Lila participates in both cross country and track running at Bishop Blanchet High School. She loves to hang out with friends, read, and spend time outdoors. Lila is also very passionate about creative writing.

This year Lila is eager to build stronger connections with the Blanchet community by reporting school relevant news. She is also curious to explore the arts of photography and journalistic writing.
