Lydia Yirtachew, a sophomore at Bishop Blanchet, joins The Miter as a first-year reporter. She gets her news from many different social media platforms and people she converses with. From time to time, she watches Kiro 7, King 5, Fox News, and CNN. Lydia is a great observer and likes to view things in many different perspectives.

At Blanchet, she plans on joining new clubs and finding new interests. She plans on playing basketball in the winter, being more involved in BSU, Black Student Union, and joining a club called Fitness Gals. In her freetime she enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and watching shows. 

This year Lydia is looking forward to expressing school pride through writing and pictures. She’s excited to find stories that foster community spirit and looks forward to an incredible yearbook!
